DIY Beltane Witch Ball

For centuries Witch Balls have been hung on doorways and windows, offering magickal protection and harnessing the power of the objects within them. They also look really, really, really pretty!

The witches of Green Moon have curated items for you to engage in the ritual of building your own Beltane Witch Ball, but we encourage you to add in your own personal and magickal touches!

• Fire Charm: In ancient communities, Beltane bonfires were lit as purifiers, and healers, casting off the darkness and bringing forth light to celebrate fertility and the creative energies that come with the season.
• Peridot Mini-Crystals: A true fire gem! Peridot is one of only two gems (Diamond is the other) that is not formed in the Earth’s crust, but in molten rock of the upper mantle and brought to the surface by the tremendous forces of earthquakes and volcanoes. Associated with the sun, Peridot has been prized since the earliest civilizations for its powerful protective powers to drive away the forces of darkness and evil.
• Jasmine Flowers: Like the Maiden, the beauty of Jasmine is intoxicating and its bloom brief. Jasmine can be used in sensual and spiritual workings, especially in love spells and divination. • Club Moss: Club moss is an ancient and interesting group of fern allies. It evolved some 410 million years ago as one of the earliest groups of vascular plants, so it has some stories to tell and wisdom to impart. Beyond its historical knowledge, Club Moss is known for its protective qualities.
• Beeswax Hemp String: Use this hemp string to hang up your Witch Ball, but keep a little to light a joint to kick off your DIY Witch Ball ritual by smoke cleansing your Witch Ball items while getting into a relaxed and happy headspace.
