Mabon Cannabis Strain Recommendation: Cannatonic

Merry Mabon Witches! This Sabbat is sometimes bitter-sweet for me. On the bitter side, I have to say goodbye to the fruitful gifts of summer such as not wearing shoes, brilliant sunsets on the beach, bbq'ing almost every day and growing herbs and vegetables on my balcony. However, I get to transition into the super sweet side of Autumn! I welcome with open arms all the wonderful things fall brings, from cozy sweaters, basking in the vibrant colours of the changing leaves against grey skies, delicious teas, soups and stews season to harvesting my crops both figuratively (taking stock of what...

Fall Transitions: From Mabon to Samhain

With the cold weather and darkness coming, I'm looking forward to getting cozy with my record collection. Transitioning from the bright sunny days of summer into the dark and cool autumn temperatures can be an adjustment, but I rejoice in embracing all the spooky and mysterious things this time brings.  And so, I pull out my favourite gothy, post-punk tunes, light some candles, hit my crystal pipe, and get a little witchy. I love this playlist for background as I make hearty fall meals, spooky nature walks, reading tea leaves and working on autumn inspired colour magick.  Enjoy witches!

After the hectic summer, it is the perfect time for reflection, meditation, and finding balance once more. When reaching into your witchy toolbox for balancing or meditation aids, cannabis could be an essential component, should you choose to partake. We recommend using an indica dominant strain and what better strain than one of the most famous of all? Thanks to her Afghani indica...

Celebrate Mabon with a Meditation Ritual

Mabon marks the autumn equinox, the point in the year when night and day are of equal length. From here on, the nights are longer than the days and we honour the darkness. During the dark side of the year, we turn our focus inward for a period of introspection. It’s the perfect time to look deep within and decide what path you will take over the coming months. I love to update my altar for each Sabbat, and Mabon is no exception! For this holiday, you might include some of the following: Red, brown, orange, green, or black candles...
